Rotherham United Community sports Trust’s (RUCST) newly developed school sport packages prove to be a hit in Rotherham.
During the local lock down the Sports Participation team worked tirelessly to develop a new and improved school sports partnership offer for schools in the Rotherham area. The newly developed packages, which rolled out in September provide clear and concise sport and curriculum packages enabling schools to hand pick their preferred choice with options to bolt-on additional services at competitive rates.
Emma Schofield, Sport Participation Manager said “the response from the schools has been fantastic and the feedback for the partnership package has been very well received.”
“We worked hard over the summer to get this right, and I strongly believe the provision on offer is second to none. Credit goes out to the Participation team for making this happen and thank you to all schools who provided feedback, it’s greatly appreciated.”
RUCST staff members trained over the summer period to ensure the correct Covid-19 procedures are followed at all sessions and EVERY coach at the trust has been supplied with a COVID pack which consists of all the key PPE to ensure sessions can proceed in the safest manner.
James Mahoney, Education Manager said “I’m delighted with the final result of the school sport packages, I believe the staff CPD will be an asset to the local primary schools, Increasing confidence, competence and PE subject knowledge to their already fantastic teams.
