REPORT | Academy 3 v 4 Huddersfield Town

27 November 2020

Rotherham United Academy were edged out by Huddersfield Town in a thrilling Youth Alliance League encounter on home soil.

After twice taking the lead through Jerome Greaves eleventh minute goal and Ciaran McGuckin’s strike 10 minutes after the restart, the Millers found themselves 4-2 down as the visitors staged a fightback.

The young guns rallied and set up a grandstand finish when substitute Sam Greenhouse scored just two minutes after entering the action, with 88 minutes on the clock.

The Millers pushed for a late leveller but fell just short of their attempt to find it, as the Terriers took the points back with them to West Yorkshire.
