Rotherham United Community Sports Trust (RUCST) are looking for volunteers to help support their covid response initiative over the coming months.

Can you spare one hour per week to support a vulnerable fan? Duties may include weekly shopping, collection of prescriptions/medicine, dog walking or providing social contact over the phone talking all things Rotherham United to help reduce social isolation.

RUCST supported hundreds of fans and residents in the community during the first lockdown, and as we enter the second lockdown we are looking to provide the critical services once again.

The Millers first team staff and players will also be out in force to lend a help in hand as previous, providing food supplies, prescriptions and phone/video calls to their loyal fans.

Jamie Noble, Head of Community said “Entering a second lockdown must be daunting for many in these uncertain times, the work our volunteers and staff provided for numerous months from March was essential and we feel its our duty as a community club to restore this fantastic service”.

“I would also like to thank the club, staff and players for their commitment, without question they volunteered their services to the community. It shows how much they value not only the club, but the fans and town as a whole”.

If you would like to offer your voluntary services, please click here and complete the short application.
