Rotherham United Community Sports Trust are pleased to announce Sport England have awarded the trust £10,000.00 to help support the local community during this ongoing global crisis.

Since the government put restrictions in place, Rotherham United Community Sports Trust staff and Volunteers have continued to support the vulnerable within the local community by assisting with trips to the local supermarkets and pharmacists to ensure they have adequate food supplies and medical prescriptions.

Not only are they aiding with the essential trips to the shops, they also offer a way of communication for the most isolated households where residents unfortunately don’t have family or friends readily available to chat via phone or text.

Jamie Noble, Head of Community Said “Receiving additional resources to assist in our ongoing efforts to support our community in this unfortunate time is essential, we are grateful to all our funders and couldn’t continue the inspirational work without them.”

“I’m overjoyed by the response of the local community, the unity shown is unprecedented and I would like to thank each and every staff member and volunteer for their continued efforts in supporting the local community”.
