Rotherham United’s Academy returned to winning ways in style in the Youth Alliance League as they cruised to three points with a 4-0 victory over Mansfield Town.
Having tasted defeat at the hands of Huddersfield Town in their previous fixture, the Millers wasted no time in finding that winning feeling once more and did so in style, as they travelled to face the Stags on 7th March.
George Scott took the early incentive as he fired his side into the lead with just shy of 15 minutes on the clock before a quickfire double from the Millers put clear daylight between the two sides.
It was Ethan Kenny who doubled the visitors’ advantage before Luke Hodgkinson make it three without reply just two minutes later.
The result was capped by an unlikely scorer in the second half when defender Bolton Makwedza added gloss to the scoreline at 4-0 on 64 minutes.
The Millers will have been equally pleased to have maintained the shutout for the remainder of the game to preserve an all-important clean sheet.
