Members of Rotherham United’s first team and staff will be joining the United Kingdom in showing their gratitude to all of our front line workers from the NHS, as they take to their doorsteps, balconies and gardens as part of a publicly-driven initiative tonight.
An idea originally posted on social media has gathered pace for members of the UK to join in applause from the safety of their homes at 8pm on Thursday 26th March 2020, as a display of unity with those nurses, doctors, GPs and carers currently helping to battle the outbreak of COVID-19.
The thoughts of all at the club will not just be with those NHS workers during this time, but indeed all of the country’s ‘key workers’ who continue to put themselves at risk day-in-day-out to give us the best possible chance of safely containing the spread of the virus.
We would encourage all of our supporters to join us in showing our appreciation at 8pm tonight.
