Applications for the Open Trials for the U12 and U13 age groups with Rotherham United’s Academy have now closed.
We have been inundated with emails of people in the local area registering their interest and now have 120 Millers hopefuls registered to take part in the trials for each age group.
The Academy staff would like to thank everyone for their interest and wish all attending the best of luck during their trial with the club.
Those that have applied and been successful in gaining a place on either date will be contacted by email.
Head of Academy Recruitment Scott Duncanson said:
"We have been overwhelmed by the response to our advert about the Open Trials and we are thrilled that so many local youngsters want to play their football for us.
"My phone has not stopped since the original piece detailing the information for the trials was posted and we have now reached the maximum number of youngsters that we can accommodate across the two days of trials.
"Again, I would like to say a huge thank you to all the parents, guardians and friends and families of the people who have registered their interest and I look forward to meeting you all on the dates of the trials."
