The next fixture in our ‘Rotherham Rewind’ sees us hop back to the last time the club were competing in the Sky Bet Championship – a brave fight which would eventually end in relegation despite a colossal effort from Paul Warne and his players.

The Millers locked horns with some formidable opposition in the 2018/19 season following their promotion from the third tier taking the scalps of Derby County, Swansea City and Nottingham Forest along the way and they came close to preserving their status in the Championship, falling just shy of the required points tally to keep them in the division.
Understandably, life was tougher away from AESSEAL New York Stadium where the Millers had proven a formidable opposition for their second tier counterparts, and wins on the road were becoming increasingly hard to come by.
In spite of that, the Millers’ faithful continued to follow us around the country in hope of seeing Warne’s men pick up three points on the road.
