READ | Millers confirm retained list ahead of 2020/21 campaign

Rotherham United have submitted their retained list to the EFL ahead of the 2020/21 season...

Rotherham United can confirm that Julien Lamy and Laurence Bilboe will depart AESSEAL New York Stadium when their contracts expire on 30th June 2020.

Meanwhile, the management team have opened discussions with Lewis Price and Billy Jones, whose deals are set to expire at the end of the month, about potentially extending their stay with Paul Warne’s side.

The club have also activated the option in young forward Jerry Yates’ contract, which will ensure his contract with the Millers runs until the summer of 2021.

Academy product Laurence Bilboe will end his long affiliation with the club as he departs AESSEAL New York Stadium this summer, while French winger Julien Lamy, who spent the final part of the 2019/20 campaign on loan at AFC Wimbledon, will also leave after a season in South Yorkshire.

Meanwhile, loanees Daniel Iversen, Dan Barlaser, Hakeeb Adelakun and Josh Koroma all return to their parent clubs following the conclusions of their loan spells with Paul Warne’s side.

The retained list means that the Millers have 20 professional players under contract ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to thank each and every player that has been involved, irrespective of whether they have played or not this season, for their efforts which have ultimately resulted in the club achieving its aim of promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.

 

Players under contract who will remain at the club:

Joe Mattock, Shaun MacDonald, Adam Thompson, Richard Wood, Kyle Vassell, Ben Wiles, Jamie Proctor, Freddie Ladapo, Clark Robertson, Jamie Lindsay, Matt Crooks, Trevor Clarke, Chiedozie Ogbene, Michael Ihiekwe, Matt Olosunde, Curtis Tilt, Michael Smith, Joshua Kayode, Jake Cooper, Jacob Gratton.

 

Players out of contract and subsequently leaving Rotherham United:

Julien Lamy, Laurence Bilboe.

 

The club are in discussions with the following players about potential new deals:

Lewis Price, Billy Jones.

 

Option activated to extend current deal by a further year:

Jerry Yates
