Rotherham United are continuing to enjoy a prosperous season in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League as we move into the New Year, and sit second in the table as these notes go to print.

The Millers women trail only Peterborough United in the league, with three games in hand over their Posh counterparts and have plenty of reason to be hopeful of an equally successful 2020 having started current campaign undefeated.

Six fixtures have provided the Roundwood outfit with the same number of victories, the most emphatic of which have come in the form of 8-3 and 7-2 home thrashings of Leicester City LFC and Worksop Town Women.

Natalie Shaw leads the way on the goalscoring front with an incredible 13 to her name while Bradie Wild, Amy Pollock and Lucy Ridley have nine, seven and six respectively.

The Women have had time to reflect on their impressive season so far over the festive period following a series of postponements but are set to return to action tomorrow as they welcome South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United to Roundwood in the County Cup.
