Rotherham United can confirm that young defender, Akeem Hinds, has parted ways with the club after agreeing a mutual termination of his contract.
The 20-year-old progressed through the Millers’ Academy before signing his first professional contract in the summer of 2018, and he went on to make four senior appearances for the club.
After overseeing the full-back's development over the last couple of years, First Team/Development Coach Matt Hamshaw was quick to place on record his thanks for Akeem's efforts whilst at the club.
"It's been great to work with Akeem and help him to make the transition from the Academy to the senior setup," he told www.themillers.co.uk.
"He came to see us and informed us about an opportunity elsewhere, and he believes it is the right time to move on in his career.
"Of course we didn't want to stand in his way and everyone, from myself, the gaffer and all the rest of the staff, wish him all the best for the future. I'm sure whatever Akeem puts his mind to, it will be a success."
All associated with Rotherham United would like to wish Akeem the best of luck with his future endeavours.
