Lincoln City have been in touch to ask us to share the below important information ahead of Friday night's Sky Bet League One fixure at the LNER Stadium...
Fans urged to arrive in plenty of time to allow for bag and body checks at turnstiles
With over 1,700 Rotherham United fans expected at LNER Stadium on Friday evening for the Sky Bet League One fixture between The Imps and The Millers, Lincoln City would advise supporters travelling from South Yorkshire to arrive at the stadium early to avoid any delay in entry to the stadium.
Lincoln City would like to make the Rotherham United supporters aware that there will be a bag and body search in operation outside the visiting turnstile area, therefore we would advise visitors to LNER Stadium to only bring a bag if absolutely necessary.
Visiting supporter access into the Stacey West Stand via turnstiles 4-8 will be open from 6.20pm.
There will be five turnstiles which will be open to allow access into the stadium for visiting supporters. The average flow rate per turnstile is around 300 people per hour.
However, as a result of the aforementioned body and bag checks, we would request that Rotherham supporters should arrive in good time to allow these searches to take place and so that they do not miss any of the game, be aware that these checks are done with supporter safety firmly in mind.
Away fans in home areas
Ahead of kick on Friday Lincoln City would like to issue a reminder to Rotherham United supporters that they are not eligible to purchase tickets in home areas for the fixture.
Lincoln City Football Club are aware that there have been a number of Millers supporters who have attempted to obtain tickets in home areas due to the away allocation being sold out. However, for the safety of all supporters Lincoln City Football Club will not sell tickets to supporters of any visiting club for home areas.
Therefore, should the staff at LNER Stadium be aware of Rotherham supporters who attempts to enter home areas on Friday evening ahead of kick off they will be refused entry to the stadium, however, it must also be noted that should safety staff also be made aware that Rotherham supporters have gained access they will be immediately asked to leave, or potentially be ejected from inside the stadium for everyone’s safety.
Thank you for your understanding.
Rotherham United would like to remind supporters that tickets for this fixture have SOLD OUT and no further tickets will become available.
