Following today’s Government update confirming that South Yorkshire will remain under tier three restrictions, Rotherham United can confirm that unfortunately, we will not yet be able to welcome supporters back to AESSEAL New York Stadium.
A Government tier review was carried out on Thursday 17th December 2020 during which it was revealed that Rotherham and the surrounding areas will not have their current restrictions eased.
Whilst we are of course disappointed that we cannot yet welcome supporters back to the stadium for our fixtures, club staff have been working tirelessly to ensure that we are ready to facilitate your safe return when the situation changes.
As a result, our ticketing team have begun the process of grouping supporters who have purchased Flexi-Season Tickets for when we are given the green light to welcome fans back to AESSEAL New York Stadium. Whilst the stadium operates on a reduced capacity we will only be issuing tickets to those fans who have bought Flexi-Season Tickets for the 2020/21 campaign.
These supporters will be grouped together and permitted to purchase tickets for fixtures which have been allocated to their group. An email will be sent shortly detailing which ‘group’ you have been allocated. We would ask that all supporters ensure that their contact details registered with the club are up-to-date to ensure you do not miss out on any key ticketing messages.
For those still interested in buying a Flexi-Season Ticket, they remain on sale to supporters online or in the Red and White Shop. The club have been busy preparing a number of detailed documents which will be published on the website in the coming days to ensure that our fans are fully aware of the processes which will be in place when the time comes for us to welcome you back.
