The Coronavirus pandemic and its subsequent effect on how we have been able to shop in recent times has resulted in online shopping numbers reaching record high numbers, with further orders being placed in the typically busy festive season.
The Red and White Shop has remained busy throughout the last year, despite being forced to physically close its doors during the two nationwide lockdowns and whilst our staff have worked tirelessly around the clock to handle the increased volume of orders, we understand that a number of customers have experienced delays in receiving their items.
We would like to reassure supporters that our staff have fulfilled all of the orders that we have received to date, but we are aware that our delivery partners have been handling larger volumes of post than normal and they are now reporting potential delays with deliveries this year.
With Christmas Day rapidly approaching and supporters understandably placing orders ahead of the big day, we are encouraging fans to order before midday on Friday 18th December 2020, to give them the best possible chance of arriving in time. Of course, we cannot guarantee any items posted before this time do arrive, however, we are hopeful this deadline gives them enough time to be delivered before Christmas.
Furthermore, we are encouraging any supporters who have placed orders for collection to do so at their earliest possible convenience.
We want to share this information with our fans and customers so that you are aware of the potential delays before ordering online or by telephone for delivery. We have already received feedback from a number of our customers informing us that their goods have not arrived in the normal timescales anticipated.
As per our terms and conditions we will always aim to dispatch orders on the same working day or the next working day following receipt of your order.
A number of issues have arisen surrounding the delivery times of our matchday programmes which have arrived after the date of the fixture. We can assure supporters that these are continuing to be despatched as they have been from the start of the 2020/21 season, but we must reaffirm that once an order is dispatched, we cannot be held responsible for any delays with Royal Mail and/or our courier services. All programmes are posted 1st Class at the earliest available date possible once an order and/or stock is received.
Your online order may be sent by courier or Royal Mail depending on the size and weight of the order. Once the orders have left the Red and White Shop we are reliant on our carriers to make timely deliveries but we also appreciate that the unprecedented demands they are under as a knock on effect of Covid-19, the extra Health & Safety measures they have in place, plus the extra demands at this time of the year will inevitably mean there will be delays.
We therefore ask that you remain patient with the club and our delivery partners during this time. If goods do not reach their destination within the timescales given by our carriers and the package is deemed to be missing/lost by them, we will happily replace or refund the items.
