Rotherham United’s 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship fixtures have been confirmed this morning, with Paul Warne’s side kicking off the new season by facing Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park on the opening day of the campaign.
Millers fans and staff alike learned of the new season schedule following the fixture release at 9am on Friday 1st August, having already been handed a tie at Salford City in the Carabao Cup when the draw was made on Tuesday.
Key dates for the diary include two midweek meetings with local rivals Sheffield Wednesday with the first coming at AESSEAL New York Stadium in the early stages of the 2020/21 campaign on Wednesday 28th October. The Millers will travel to Hillsborough for the reverse fixture on Wednesday 3rd March.
Further all-Yorkshire clashes will take place against Barnsley (29th December at home and 24th April away) and Huddersfield Town (3rd October at home and 10th April away).
Other notable fixtures including a trip to face Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough at The Riverseide on Boxing Day, while the Millers will kick-off the new year with a test against Cardiff City at AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday 2nd January.
The Millers will conclude their 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship regular season on Saturday 8th May with trip to South Wales to take on the Bluebirds.
