When we think back to our days at school we do not remember the maths or art lessons but instead we remember the school trips to various weird and wonderful places our teachers took us.
Which is why Rotherham United Community Sports Trust offers you as teachers and community groups the chance to give those unique memories to the children and young people in your care. This academic year so far we have welcomed over 600 children to the New York Stadium home of “ The Millers “ or to you and I Rotherham United Football Club.
Flying high in the top two of league one at the moment this is a great time to become involved with your local football team and in particular visit such an iconic building in the town. Whether you as an adult are a football fan yourself or you have some mad keen football fans in your class or community group we cater for all ages, interests and themes for your visit. We offer visits for all ages ranging for FS2, KS1. KS2, KS3. KS4 or local community groups who would like to make a booking with us. A behind the scenes tour offers you the opportunity to engage and inspire those young people in your care.
What is more inspiring than sitting in the director chair looking over the carpeted turf of the New York Stadium or visiting the changing rooms and imagining what it would be like or a match day or sitting in the interviews chair being interviewed by a sports reporter. We can tailor the visit to your school topic whether this be healthy eating or famous people from Rotherham to name but a few.
Come and visit us and find out what its like to be a professional sports person and tread in their footsteps.
