Rotherham United are proud to reveal that Club Partner Ben Bennett Jr Ltd are doing their bit to help fight the COVID-19 outbreak by supplying parts which will be used by our health services across the country.
The family run business also includes a steel strip manufacturing business based here in Rotherham, who have a long association with the Millers, are currently producing components which will be used by our NHS and other services in ventilators, surgical blades and in hospital beds, all of which will be vital as our front-line workers look to deal with the additional volume of people they are likely to be treating.
We are incredibly proud of our associations with the Bennett’s who have been involved with the club across six generations in the family and currently sponsor the East Stand at our very own AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Commercial Director Steve Coakley is in regular contact with Ben Bennett Jr and following a recent check up on our long-time partners during this difficult time, was thrilled to discover how they are playing a part in our national battle to stave off the outbreak of COVID-19.
“It will be together, as a community and a nation, that we are able to successfully overcome the outbreak and to think that a company so close to our football club is playing an integral part in that makes us extremely proud,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.
“The Bennett’s are incredibly popular figures at the club and it was during a phone call that I learned of how they are supplying components which will be incredibly important to our health services over the coming weeks and months particularly.
“We have seen some incredible kindness in and around our community already and it will be that attitude which will see us through the difficult times we are experiencing at present. We all want to play our part to ensure we can get back to safely living our normal lives, which of course includes, watching our football club in action.”
