Rotherham United are back on the road this weekend as the Millers make the journey to Bristol to face in-form Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium. You can find all of the key information ahead of the clash below...

Fixture: Bristol Rovers V Rotherham United
Competition: Sky Bet League One
Date: Saturday 28th  September 2019
Kick-Off: 15:00
Venue: Memorial Stadium
Referee: M Salisbury

Bristol Rovers

Form: WLDWLW
League Position: 8th
Top Scorer: Jonson Clarke-Harris (7 goals)

Bristol Rovers have hit the ground running at the beginning of the Sky Bet League One campaign, and they will be looking to continue that this weekend.

The Gas are unbeaten at the Memorial Ground in the league this season, and the best result that any team has managed to take away from Bristol is a draw.

Rovers definitely have goals in the side, with Jonson Clarke-Harris and Tyler Smith having eleven between them so far this season.

Rotherham United

Form:  WDLWDD
League Position: 12th
Top Scorer: Freddie Ladapo (4 goals)

With some momentum in the side with the Millers now three games unbeaten in the league, Paul Warne will feel that he can take his team to Bristol and take maximum points, which would end the Gas’ unbeaten start at home this season.

Despite it being a test, the Millers will be in confident mood having scored seven goals over the course of their last three outings, so the morale is of a good way in the dressing room.

Warne will go into this weekend’s match knowing that he has a number of players returning to fitness, but it will be too soon for Chiedozie Ogbene, Kyle Vassell and Adam Thompson to feature. Matt Olosunde could be fit to travel, however.

One to watch: Jonson Clarke-Harris

The one to watch this weekend has got to be the former Rotherham United striker who has scored seven goals in all competitions so far this season, six of those goals being in the league.

The forward man will be hungry for more goals as the Millers visit the Memorial Stadium, so one of the main jobs to take a result from Bristol would be to keep him quiet.

Clarke-Harris began his career at Coventry City after progressing through the youth system before playing for the likes of Bury, Oldham, Rotherham, and more recently Coventry once again. His record for the Gas has been outstanding since he arrived at the club.

Talk

Graham Coughlan: "It will be a real good game Saturday, a proper football match. They are a very good team, Championship team. I would suggest that having them come to town will be a real exciting prospect on the back of a very good victory (against Chelsea U21s).”

Paul Warne: "Our away form has been very good, and I expect a solid Bristol Rovers side. They are higher than us in the league so there is no way I will be underestimating them.

“They have got a very good home following, but hopefully we can go and have a decent game of football and hopefully come away with a win. They are having a very good season, they historically do very well at home, so I am well aware of the challenge.”
