Warne's Coventry City reflections...

"There are always things that you can improve on and we're never completely happy but it is nice to keep a clean sheet, score goals and to play with a bit of energy.

"That's the thing that has made me smile the most, there was a bit of energy and a bit of passion and that's what I want to see.

"It is about individual effort, it isn't about the shape of the team or who plays, it is just the fact that everyone in that room knows the identity of our club is work ethic. You can make mistakes but if you do, you've got to recover and I think that happened on Saturday."

Warne's treatment room update...

"We haven't got any new injuries, but there are a few issues. A couple of our centre halves are struggling, as is one of my central midfielders.

"It is an opportunity to let players have minutes on Tuesday night.

"I want to do well in the cup, but I've also got an eye on Blackpool at the weekend."

Warne on team selection for Leasing.Com Trophy clash against Doncaster Rovers...

"I would like to think that Julien will get on the pitch, definitely.

"Freddie and Carlton are chomping at the bit which is the same as Shauny Mac. I've got some really good senior pros who definitely need some game time and they want to play.

"I'll shuffle the pack, there's no point in lying about it.

"I'll give opportunities for other people to play and impress and show why they should be in the team.

"Any opportunity, even if you wear your training shirt on a daily basis, is a chance to impress but especially in a game.

"We'll try and give the opportunities to as many as we can, but we don't want to go 'weak', we want to be a strong team but I am looking at it in a different light."

Warne on predicting how Doncaster will line up...

"It's a difficult one. No doubt they'll do the same as what we're doing, searching their press and trying to get a sniff of what they might do.

"I went and watched them play against Lincoln and they were really strong, so they will probably use it as an opportunity.

"I think their management team will probably go down a similar route. They'll try and give some a game on the periphery and try and make changes where they can. There are some places on the pitch that you can't make changes because you don't have an alternative.

"I think they'll come strong and want to do well and if they beat us then they'll probably progress to the next stage."
