Millers to welcome Baggies in pre-season...
Rotherham United will welcome West Bromwich Albion to AESSEAL New York Stadium for a friendly fixture on Tuesday 23rd July as part of their pre-season preparations.
The Millers will host the Baggies in a 7:45pm kick off in South Yorkshire for what will be Paul Warne’s side’s penultimate test before the 2019/20 campaign.
The clubs met recently in the Sky Bet Championship in a fixture which saw the Millers’ relegation to the third tier confirmed at The Hawthorns on Saturday 27th April following a brave display which had seen them take the lead in the Midlands.
The Baggies narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League at the end of the 2018/19 campaign after being defeated by Aston Villa in the Play-offs and will provide a tough test for the Millers, who will have one friendly fixture left in the diary against Leicester City after this date.
Ticket prices for this fixture will be confirmed at a later date.
The Millers have now confirmed all of the friendlies that they will play on English shores, with news of the two planned fixtures to be played in Germany to follow.
