Leicester City confirmed as pre-season opponents...
Rotherham United can confirm that their final pre-season friendly fixture ahead of the 2019/20 campaign will see them host Leicester City at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
The Foxes will join us in South Yorkshire on Saturday 27th July for a 3pm kick off in what will be the final test ahead of the new Sky Bet League One campaign for Paul Warne’s side.
Brendan Rodgers will split his Leicester squad into two teams, as a result of the Foxes also being in action elsewhere on the same date, in order to maximise minutes for a number of his first team players as they gear up for another season in the top flight.
The Millers have successfully hosted Leicester in pre-season twice since their move to AESSEAL New York Stadium in 2014 and 2015 respectively, with the Foxes going on to claim the Premier League title in the season that followed the latter.
The Millers have now confirmed four friendly fixtures and have two more dates in the diary for which announcements will follow, while the club are also waiting on outlining the plans for the two fixtures that they are hoping to play on the overseas training camp in Germany.
Ticket prices for the friendly against the Foxes will be confirmed at a later date.
