AWARDS | Smith lands Player of the Year award

3 May 2019

Rotherham United forward Michael Smith has landed the Player of the Year award for the 2018/19 season at the End of Season Awards Dinner.

The 27-year-old frontman has tirelessly led the line this campaign and received the coveted award on Friday night, sponsored by KCM Waste Management, beating off competition from Semi Ajayi, Will Vaulks, Joe Mattock and Clark Robertson, who also made the shortlist of nominees.

Smith ended the 2018/19 campaign having made 45 appearances, netting seven goals in the process, but has been highly-commended for his industrious and unselfish approach to leading the line.
