Rotherham United Community Sports Trust (RUCST) are pleased to announce the home fixture at the AESSEAL New York Stadium against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday 2nd March 2019 will be the official Community Takeover Day.

The Trust have previously been involved with match day events such as the open training session and the NCS takeover day.

RUCST will be showcasing the work they do in the local community along with special performances, artists and activities around the stadium to give a family fun atmosphere.

The Trust will be offering a different dimension to their takeover day this year, RUFC & RUCST are working in partnership to offer young Millers a once in a life time opportunity, where they will be able to become a member of the Rotherham United family through the kids takeover competition.

The competition will offer children the chance to work in various exciting roles during the match day, with jobs such as first team assistant, stadium announcer, ticket office manager plus many more fantastic opportunities up for grabs.

The Trust is a community development programme that works across the borough of Rotherham in deprived areas with different communities and age groups, delivering under the four main themes of the EFL Trust: Education, Health & Wellbeing, Inclusion and Sport Participation.

Jamie Noble, Head of Community said: “We are delighted to host the community day on 2nd of March. It’s a great opportunity for our team to showcase the fantastic work they deliver to the local community.

“We are extremely excited about the kids takeover day, it will offer another dimension to the day whilst also giving young millers a once in a life time opportunity.
