Williams set for South Coast move...

Rotherham United attacker Ryan Williams will join fellow League One outfit Portsmouth upon the expiry of his contract at AESSEAL New York Stadium this summer.

The Australian joined the Millers ahead of the 2017/18 campaign after a spell with Barnsley and would immediately become an integral player for Paul Warne, featuring heavily in his maiden season which saw the club earn promotion to the Sky Bet Championship via the third tier Play-offs.

The 25-year-old appeared an impressive 47 times in league and cup competitions in the season that culminated in promotion, before he acclimatised to life further up the pyramid as he went on to play 42 times in the 2018/19 season.

The energetic attacker became a popular figure both on and off the pitch at AESSEAL New York Stadium and rejoins Portsmouth with the best wishes of everyone at Rotherham United.

Williams was one of the players offered fresh terms in South Yorkshire but has opted to renew his association with Pompey, who he represented as a youngster between 2011 and 2012.

There will be more to follow from boss Warne when we catch up with him tomorrow as the Millers return to pre-season training.
