Purrington seals permanent move to Charlton Athletic...

Rotherham United have agreed an undisclosed fee with Charlton Athletic, which will see defender Ben Purrington join the Addicks.

The former Plymouth Argyle left back enjoyed a loan spell at The Valley last term, helping Lee Bowyer’s side to promotion to the Sky Bet Championship through the Play-offs, scoring a goal in the final at Wembley and makes the move permanent ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Purrington joined the Millers in January 2017 and made 22 appearances during his time at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

He spent the early stages of last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon before moving to Charlton Athletic in another temporary stint in January 2019.

Ben joins Charlton Athletic with the best wishes of everyone at Rotherham United.
