READ | Wiles pens new Millers deal

Ben Wiles signs a new contract until 2022...

Rotherham United youngster Ben Wiles has penned a new deal with the club, which will keep him at AESSEAL New York Stadium until the summer of 2022, subject to EFL and FA ratification.

The youngster’s development has seen him rewarded with an extended deal by boss Paul Warne, who handed him his league debut in the recent Championship clash at Bristol City before he starred in the 2-1 win over Preston North End at the weekend.

Wiles joined the Millers’ Academy ranks in the Under 9 age group and progressed through the system to become a professional in 2017.

The midfielder, who heralds from Rawmarsh, has impressed boss Paul Warne and his staff since he became involved in the first team setup and earned his senior debut in October 2017 in the form of a Checkatrade Trophy clash with Chesterfield.

Wiles has made 13 appearances in total for the Millers, with 11 of those coming in the 2018/19 campaign.
