Rotherham United were delighted to help local grassroots team manager Dave Wheeler celebrate a milestone birthday in style as part of our Random Act of Kindness scheme for the game against Brentford.
Dave, who manages Ravenfield Rangers JFC, saw his players become flag bearers for the day at AESSEAL New York Stadium, as part of his 40th birthday celebrations but the surprise didn’t stop there.
First team players Akeem Hinds and Joshua Kayode were both on hand to present Dave with a specially personalised and signed shirt to mark the occasion, which he received in the comfort of the home dugout!
