Paul Warne speaks to iFollow Millers ahead of the trip to Millwall....

Rotherham United manager Paul Warne was on iFollow Millers duty following the closure of the transfer window, ahead of the trip to Millwall...

Warne spoke to the club regarding the transfer window yesterday, here he talks about the game with the Lions, with full video content available shortly HERE on iFollow Millers…

Warne on the fitness of Ben Wiles and Ryan Williams...

“Wilesy has trained a bit but hurt his back earlier in the week so I am not 100% sure yet if he is going to be part of the squad. He could be, but he won't be 100% so we’ll make decision when we see him.

“(Ryan Williams) The weekend after might be also be too soon. I think he’ll be running again next week solid, but likely to be Hull on the midweek away game will be Ryan's return to the squad."

Warne on the returns of Joe Newell and Kyle Vassell...

“He’s (Newell) good, he has trained all week and looks really good. So has Vass, he’s improved no end as well. From a healthy point of view the lads aren’t looking too bad.

"He (Vassell) is managing the pain, his groin testing every day suggest he’s getting stronger which is good. He is much more mobile which is essential if you want to play up top for us. It is positive with regards to that.

“I think Newell could (start), Vass might have to run off a bit of adrenaline, but most likely they’ll have an impact from the bench."

Warne on Sean Raggett's injury...

“That was a concern. We thought he had re-fractured the same area which would have been a long period out. He’s had all the scans on Monday, they have come back clear, he’ll be a few weeks before he comes back into the squad."

Warne on full-back performaces..

“I thought they (full-backs) were excellent (against Leeds). For us to win a game at this level, everyone has to be on full tilt. In our best performances this year, against the likes of Sheffield United etc, I thought we were. I thought Joe Mattock was the highlight for me (against Leeds). I gave him the coveted Paul Warne man of the match. We had some good performances, and if the same individuals play this weekend, they need to be as good.”

Warne on game against Millwall…

“We did bounce back with a decent performance against Leeds, and we were hugely disappointed that we didn’t come away with something. We obviously need to pick up points away, and hopefully that will start this weekend. The lads trained pretty well and I am looking forward to watching to see what they have Saturday.”
