Rotherham United will be holding a minute’s applause prior to Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Wigan Athletic in honour of club legend Danny Williams, who passed away on Sunday.

The Millers have also produced a commemorative programme for the game, in honour of Danny, who holds the club record for appearances and the first team will don black armbands in tribute to a real home-grown footballing hero.

We will be joined by members of Danny’s family, who will be our guests for the fixture, as we look to give one of the club’s greatest servants the send-off he deserves.

Regarded as one of our greatest figures and, arguably, one of Rotherham’s most famous sporting sons, Danny also managed the club between 1962 and 1965.

He passed away on Sunday, aged 94.

Our thoughts remain with Danny's family and friends at this time.

Once a Miller, always a Miller.
