Millers agree new deal with Places Leisure...
Rotherham United have signed a new agreement with Places Leisure, who will once again open the doors of their gym and pool facilities to Paul Warne’s side during 2019/20.
The company, who are one of the largest Leisure providers in the UK, have agreed a new deal which will see their affiliation with the Millers continue throughout the current campaign.
The Millers’ current senior squad will once again frequent Places Leisure’s, Rotherham Leisure Complex in Rotherham for specially tailored gym and pool sessions for both strengthening and conditioning and rehabilitation.
Following the agreeing of the new deal, Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens expressed his delight at the opportunity to continue to work with Places Leisure, explaining that the club have benefited greatly from the additional facilities at their disposal in recent years.
“I’m delighted that Places Leisure have once again committed to supporting the first team throughout 2019/20,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.
“I know that everyone at the club speaks really highly of the facilities available to them there, from our manager Paul Warne to our Head of Player Performance Ross Burbeary.
“The physical fitness of his players is of paramount importance to the manager here and having Places Leisure’s excellent facilities available to us will only the first team hit those levels.
“We have a fantastic relationship with Paul and all of the staff there and it will be brilliant to work with them for another season.”
Paul Harpham, who is the General Manager at Rotherham Leisure Complex, reaffirmed his delight at the opportunity to continue working alongside the town’s football team.
“We’re extremely proud to be supporting the Millers for the 2019/2020 season,” he enthused.
“It’s fantastic to have this partnership with our local club and we can’t wait to support them through their journey to succeed in the league this year.
“From the players doing strength and conditioning work in our gyms, to the Managers having a game of squash after training, we’re always pleased to see them using our facilities.”
