Members of the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust’s National Citizen Service hosted an Easter themed bake sale and raffle at Rotherham Hospital to raise funds for The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s youngest patients.
Libby Meadows and sisters Lauren Hollingsworth-Smith and Mia Hollingsworth-Smith of Wath Academy sold a host of cookies, cupcakes and chocolaty treats and raffled a giant bunny, a chocolate hamper, Easter eggs and a home-made celebration cake.
They raised £252.27 for the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity’s Dr Ted children’s appeal.
Barry Mellor, Chair of the Charitable Funds Committee, said: “Easter is a time for celebration and we couldn’t think of a better way to mark the run up to the Bank Holiday weekend than sharing cake and goodies with our colleagues, family and friends. The volunteers from Rotherham United’s NCS did an amazing job of getting everyone in the mood for Easter and to raise so much for our Dr Ted children’s appeal is a really wonderful achievement. Thank you to everyone who supported them, whether by baking or buying treats and raffle tickets.”
