Rotherham United are delighted to launch Yorkshire’s first official Professional football club and Esports team partnership for FIFA pro clubs 11v11.

As part of the project collaborators Rob Hawden and Dave Raybould have teamed with Head of Community Jamie Noble to revamp the Goal Zone and bring FIFA 19 to The AESSEAL New York Stadium on weekend match days.

The appropriately named FIFA HUB will become a meeting point for fans of FIFA where people can meet and chat and play the beautiful game.

The FIFA HUB launches prior to our home game against Stoke City and thereafter will be open from 12.30pm until 2.30pm (for 3pm K.Os) on weekend home match days where all of our fans are welcome.

The Goal Zone, situated next to the Players' Entrance in the main West Stand, is free to enter on matchdays to ALL supporters who are season ticket holders or have purchased tickets for the match, with pre-match entertainment provided for kids who are arriving early for the game.

Rob Hawden (Esports team manager) said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Jamie (Noble) and everyone at the club.

“Rotherham United has some of the most passionate fans in the country and we want to help spread the club’s wings to build on an already growing fanbase.”

Fellow collaborator Dave Raybould echoed Rob’s comments adding: “We wanted to work with Rotherham United because the club has the right values and wants to engage with the surrounding community, this is of course a passion we share.”

The Esports team will consist of a squad of players competing in a professional league and tournaments and will aim to participate at the very top.

The team are currently in talks to enter the VPG (Virtual Pro Gaming) league and will aim to begin thier journey to glory in the coming weeks.
