Rotherham United would once again like to thank Showsec Security for another kind donation to the Sunbeams group at the Rotherham Hospice, which saw members of the group watch the game against Derby County from the comfort of the hospitality lounges.
Showsec have been a regular supporter of Sunbeams, which runs from the Broom-based charity to support children who have lost or are about to lose a loved one, and once again donated places on their table for youngsters to enjoy the win over Derby County in style.
The group enjoyed a meal and pre-match entertainment in the lounge with John Breckin on the stage, before meeting the players on the pre-match tour of the dressing room and concluded their day by meeting Man of the Match Ryan Manning, who presented a 2018/19 signed away shirt to the guests, which will be used for fundraising at the Rotherham Hospice.
Children’s Bereavement Support Nurse Cath Todd was in attendance on the day and placed on record her thanks to Showsec for their continued support of the group.
“I would once again like to thanks Showsec for providing another unforgettable day for members of the group who came to the Derby County match,” she told www.themillers.co.uk.
“The whole day was brilliant from start to finish and it was great to see the kids’ faces light up as a result of the VIP treatment they received.
“We have been supported by a number of local companies over recent years and it has been brilliant to be able to give some of our group members one-off experiences that will hopefully get them following the Millers for years to come.
“On behalf of the Sunbeams group and everyone at the Rotherham Hospice I would like to thank Showsec for their generosity, it really was a brilliant day, made even better by a Millers win!”
