Rotherham United were delighted to welcome the Dodson family to our recent home game with Queens Park Rangers as part of our Random Act of Kindness scheme.
Mum Gemma got in touch with the club to inform us of a special birthday within the family which tied in with some good news on the health front for young season ticket holder and Junior Miller Cooper.
To help the family celebrate we offered Cooper the chance to lead out his beloved Millers as mascot ahead of the clash with the Hoops, which also gave his dad, Adam, a great surprise on his 34th birthday.
Everyone at the club was delighted to hear the positive news and to help Adam celebrate his birthday and we hope the Dodson family had a great evening in our company.
The Millers randomly select supporters at our home games where we offer free behind the scenes access to Rotherham United or offer lucky supporters the chance to meet some of their heroes.
Rotherham United run the Random Act of Kindness initiative at EVERY home game and next time it could be you!
“Just wanted to say a huge thank you for letting Cooper come tonight and to surprise my husband on his birthday. We've all had a fantastic time and it's been a great experience. Your generosity has been amazing.”
