Paul Warne and members of his first team squad offered their support to Head Physiotherapist Stephen Gilpin and Head of Player Performance Ross Gilpin’s 10k-a-day challenge for Prostate Cancer UK on Wednesday morning.
With the international break approaching, the Millers players and staff donned their running shoes ahead of today’s session to join the pair on their epic running challenge which is set to end at the close of the month.
The duo, who already have an impressive 140k’s worth of running in their legs, with a similar distance still to go, have raised a fantastic total of just under £3,000 for the cause so far.
The running challenge has seen Gilpin and Burbeary cover ground all across Rotherham and has included the Clifton Park ParkRun and a number of trips down the canal from AESSEAL New York Stadium, with this morning’s circuit seeing them complete laps of the club’s Roundwood training ground.
The challenge is set to run until the end of November and you can donate to the PCUK cause on their JustGiving page here.
