Rotherham United Community Sports Trust are delighted to welcome Gareth Beer to our fantastic team.
Gareth has over eight years’ experience working with young people and communities, both in paid and voluntary roles; Gareth joins as a Senior NCS Coordinator for the Community Trust.
For the past two years Gareth has been working on the NCS programme in Lancashire and Manchester, setting up and delivering the summer programmes. During this time Gareth has helped to build community links with various organisations, charities and businesses, as well as engaging young people in all areas of the programme.
“I’m excited to be joining Rotherham United Community Sports Trust and have the opportunity to contribute to what is already a great asset in the local community. I have a real passion for helping young people realise their potential and challenging themselves to do things they never realised they could. I am also keen to raise awareness of mental health within young people, and to support those who are struggling with their own mental health. It’s something that I feel passionate about and want to promote positive change in this community, especially through the NCS programme.”
