Rotherham United Community Sports Trust are pleased to receive a cheque from the former Mayor Eve Rose Keenan from her Mayoral Charity year 2017- 2018.
We can’t thank her enough for her support throughout her year as Mayor, she has been a regular visitor at the stadium and supported us with many of our community projects. Through the work that we have undertaken we have also forged many relationships with local partners that we now take on into our future community work.
Carole Foster, Inclusion Manager at the trust stated “ we are really pleased with the funds raised and can’t thank Eve enough for her generosity. This has come at an excellent time for us as it is currently proving more challenging to acquire funds for our ability counts programme which, supports young people from the ages of 7 and above with special educational needs and disabilities ranging from Autism, Cerebral Palsy through to moderate learning diffculties. The work we do is so important as it engages young people from across the borough in physical activity whilst developing their social and communication skills”.
The funds will be used to support the current ability counts programme which meet every Saturday at Wickersley Comprehensive ; 16 + Saturday 9.30 – 10.30, age 7 – 16 Saturday 10.45- 11.45 with fixtures played on a monthly basis.
