Everyone at Rotherham United would like to pass on their congratulations to first team staff members Stephen Gilpin and Ross Burbeary, who have today completed their incredible 10k-a-day challenge for Prostate Cancer UK.
The Millers’ physio and fitness coach have undergone a gruelling month-long running challenge, which has seen them turn in sub-45 minute times on each of their runs.
The duo have been joined and supported by a number of high-profile athletes from far and wide, but have been closely supported throughout by first team boss Paul Warne, members of his staff and the Rotherham United squad.
In addition to the running challenge, both have sported impressive moustaches throughout the month as part of the Movember challenge, which aims to make a difference by raising awareness and supporting those who have been affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health issues and suicidal thoughts.
The challenge has seen the pair run all around the local area and beyond, including ParkRun at Clifton Park, the canal path down by AESSEAL New York Stadium and even in Iceland during Stephen’s getaway during the international break.
