Rotherham United Ladies F.C are proud to announce Scott Duncanson as their new General Manager.

This month sees an exciting new start for Rotherham United Ladies Football Club with a new position of General Manager in place looking to take the club forward in the 2018/19 season and beyond. The role of General Manager is to guide the club forward on player recruitment, player cantered approaches to coaching and implementing a philosophy for all age groups.

Scott Duncanson boasts an impressive CV with playing experience in England and overseas at clubs such as Sheffield United 1st and 2nd Year YTS, Grimsby Town, Bassendean Caledonian sc. (Australia) Worksop town plus many more! Scott also has coaching experience at Sheffield United academy, Doncaster Rovers Belles 1st team coach /goalkeeper coach plus scouting experience at Wigan Athletic 1st team.

Scott’s Philosophy

•             Recruitment is paramount.
•             Base playing strategy around player’s strengths and weakness.
•             Analyse opposition and exploit weakness.
•             Have a structure that all players know their roles and responsibilities in and out of possession.
•             The structure should contain a framework to guide players but also leaves scope for random and creative play.

 Chair and Head of Community at Rotherham United Community Sports Trust, Jamie Noble is excited to lead a committed group of people who want to see RULFC who are not only determined on field but will put the fun back into football.

 Jamie Noble, Head of Community said “This club has been around for years and has been well run by some dedicated individuals. The time has come to make significant changes and take the club forward and with the emerging women’s game we feel we have good foundations to see the club go to the next level. I personally feel Scott is the right person for the job and has bags of experience both as a player and a coach. Everyone at RULFC can’t wait for the new season to start.”
