First game of 2018/19 hospitality sells out...
Hospitality places for Rotherham United’s South Yorkshire derby with Sheffield Wednesday at AESSEEAL New York Stadium on Saturday 16th February 2019 have sold out, just a day after the official 2018/19 fixture release which came on Thursday morning at 9am.
Following a busy day of sales, the lounges at AESSEAL New York Stadium have now reached capacity for the clash against the Owls in February, marking the first sold out fixture for hospitality in 2018/19.
Sales have been made across a number of other high-profile fixtures ahead of the upcoming season including the games against Sheffield United and Leeds United, but none of the Millers’ other 2018/19 matches have sold out at present.
Rotherham United’s Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens expressed his excitement ahead of what he anticipates being another busy season in the lounge following confirmation that the game against the Owls had reached capacity.
“I think we are all united in our eagerness to get underway for what promises to be another exciting and busy season in the Championship,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.
“The uptake on games against Sheffield Wednesday in the past has always been brilliant and it comes as no surprise to me that this fixture has sold out so quickly. There are a number of fixtures that really whet the appetite this season and I expect to see other games following suit in reaching capacity in the near future.
“I am looking forward to welcoming the usual sponsors and supporters back into the lounges this season, as well as meeting new faces that may not have joined us before.”
