Rotherham United boss Paul Warne is amongst this month’s nominees for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month Award.

The Millers boss guided his side to four wins from their six December outings in the league with his side overturning a deficit on two occasions to come from behind and record victory over Blackpool and MK Dons.

That form has seen Warne’s men firmly re-establish themselves in the top half of the third tier table and they currently sit just one point outside the Play-offs, trailing Portsmouth, who they face next weekend.

Here are the nominations for the December award in full:

Derek Adams (Plymouth Argyle)

Trusted in his methods even after his side’s poor start following promotion. December began with Argyle bottom of League One. Eleven points from five unbeaten games later and they ended it four points clear of the relegation zone.

Paul Hurst (Shrewsbury Town)

Two defeats in November said that Shrewsbury couldn’t maintain their autumn form. That wisdom ignored the togetherness Hurst has fostered in his players and 11 points from five unbeaten games kept them in the top two.

Kenny Jackett (Portsmouth)

Four wins from five matches propelled Jackett’s team into the play-off positions. Winning consistently at Fratton Park has proved difficult for Pompey in recent seasons, but Jackett has taken the fear factor away from his players.

Paul Warne (Rotherham United)

Warne’s men were one of the busiest teams in League One and hauled themselves back into the promotion picture as a result.
