Paul Warne talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Manager Paul Warne has called for another special atmosphere this weekend as the Millers return to League One action against AFC Wimbledon.

The Millers welcome the Dons to AESSEAL New York Stadium on a run of nine games unbeaten, whilst Neal Ardley’s outfit themselves boast an impressive recent record.

The match, which has also been designated as a ‘Friends for a Fiver’ fixture, starts a run of four games in a fortnight for Warne’s team, leading to the Millers boss to call on the supporters to match the atmosphere which helped his side to their most recent victory over Bradford City.

“The response from the terraces was a major factor behind out success against both Portsmouth and Bradford recently,” Warne told www.themillers.co.uk

“The training ground is buzzing at the moment, and the togetherness of the group is right up there with what I experienced as a player in the days when we were advancing through the leagues.

“Any success can only be achieved with backing from the supporters, and I genuinely believe that the crowd can have a major impact on the field. We saw that in the second half against Bradford when the increased noise generated that vital extra percentage from the players which saw us home.

“The club have made the game a ‘Friends for a Fiver’ fixture for the weekend, so if you are a season ticket holder and know someone who might be interested, then get them down to AESSEAL New York because it would be great to see a big crowd as we head into a crucial run of games.

“We have the likes of Matt Palmer and Coalan Lavery available to us now, they are great lads and I am sure they will fit right in. We could see them for the first time in a Millers shirt on Saturday, so let’s make it an introduction to remember for both of them.

“Thanks again for your support. It really does mean so much.”
