READ | Millers boss among nominees for November Manager of the Month award

Rotherham United boss Paul Warne has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for November.

The Millers boss preserved an unbeaten record throughout the month, which saw his side unfortunate not to beat promotion hopefuls Sheffield United on home soil and defeated newly-relegated Swansea City.

Warne is named alongside, Daniel Farke, Darren Moore and Dean Smith in the list of nominees for the November award.

Daniel Farke (Norwich City)

Time was when the Norwich fans chided Farke over his team’s defensive mindset. No more. Having set the platform, the German has now unleashed his players, taking them to the top of the Championship with ten points and 12 goals from four games.

Darren Moore (West Bromwich Albion)

The test of a manager is responding to his side’s dip in form. Moore reacted superbly, trusting his players’ abilities and leading them to three successive wins to end the month, which included an emphatic 4-1 win over then leaders Leeds.

Dean Smith (Aston Villa)

His calmness has brought a serenity and renewed faith to Villa Park. The players are trusting his methods, attacking with verve and freedom. Four unbeaten games brought ten points, 14 goals and a 4-2 derby day win over Birmingham.

Paul Warne (Rotherham United)

Other managers gained more points, but none are working on a budget that demands Warne has to exact every ounce of effort from his players. His team went unbeaten and took six points from four games against sides in the top half.

ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY 7 DECEMBER 2018

The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
