Rotherham United’s Random Act of Kindness scheme is back up and running again for the new season, with the club randomly offering matchday experiences to our loyal supporters.

For our recent home game against Ipswich Town, the club offered one of our young supporters the opportunity to be one of our flag bearers for the game.

Oliver had a great time, with his Dad David also in attendance, and he told www.themillers.co.uk:

“Rotherham United’s Random Act of Kindness scheme was amazing for my son and myself. Oliver was looked after amazingly by all the staff and it was incredible to see him Flag bearing. As a young lad with Down Syndrome we felt he may not feel up to it, but he was helped and included well throughout. I cannot thank the club enough and also Paul Warne for shaking his hand and wishing him luck.

“Gary Webb from the Trust looked after us extremely well and went the extra mile for us throughout the experience. Brilliant club and a great provision for a young disabled fan to attend his first match.”

The Millers randomly select supporters at our home games where we offer free behind the scenes access to Rotherham United or offer lucky supporters the chance to meet some of their heroes.

Rotherham United run the Random Act of Kindness initiative at EVERY home game and next time it could be you!
