READ | Millers to host Rotherham Charity Cup final on Tuesday

23 April 2018

Rotherham United are set to welcome Joker FC and Wombwell Main to AESSEAL New York Stadium for a 7pm kick off on Tuesday night for the Rotherham Charity Cup final.

The Millers have received praise for their support of grassroots football and, in particular, the long-established Rotherham Charity Cup and we are delighted to be hosting another final here at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

“We knew the club would be unable to host local football finals this year due to the UEFA U17 Championship but they have found a date for our final and we really are grateful for their continued support for our competition, a link going back well over 100 years” said Charity Cup chairman Steve Mosby whose father, Harold played for the Millers in the late 1940s.

“Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas has been tremendous and he acknowledged that the money we raise goes to small, locally-based charities and how much having our final here boosts our total which, last year, was £4,500.”
