Reece McGinley graduates from Millers Academy setup...

Rotherham United youngster Reece McGinley has put pen-to-paper on his first professional deal, signing a one-year contract at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

The 18-year-old joined the Millers Academy ranks in 2016 and has impressed both youth and first team staff with his showings in The Central League and Youth Alliance fixtures over the course of the last two seasons.

McGinley made his senior debut for Paul Warne’s side in the 3-0 Checkatrade Trophy victory at Bradford City this season and has earned international recognition at youth level with his native Northern Ireland.

He is currently enjoying a loan switch to Frickley Athletic, who he has helped to a place in the Evo Stik South Division Play-offs.

The Northern Irishman is the second player to make the transition from the club’s Academy to the first team setup this season as he joins striker Joshua Kayode in signing professional terms.
