Rotherham United striker Kieffer Moore has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One player of the month award.

The Ipswich loanee has been in sparkling form for the Millers since arriving at AESSEAL New York Stadium, netting four times during August, which included a spectacular hat-trick against Southend.

He faces comnpetition from Patrick Bauer, Alex Cairns and Jack Marriott from elsewhere, here is a full list of nominees:

Patrick Bauer (Charlton Athletic) – central defender
The German impressed at both ends of the pitch. A commanding presence in a defence which conceded just three goals in four games, he used his aerial prowess to score headed opening goals against Bristol Rovers and Rotherham.

Alex Cairns (Fleetwood Town) – goalkeeper
Three clean sheets in his first three games of the season for the Fleetwood keeper. He made two notable stops against Rotherham, but it was his astonishing triple save in the 1-0 win at Northampton which really stood out.

Jack Marriott (Peterborough United) – striker
What a way to announce your arrival at a new club. Six goals in his first four games for Posh included a hat-trick at Bristol Rovers and an impudent lob against Rotherham that sums up both his trickery and his calm finishing.

Kieffer Moore (Rotherham United) - striker
During August the 6ft 5in loanee scored four goals from three starts. His quick feet impressed as a substitute on opening day and he then scored a first-half hat-trick against Southend to cement his place in the side.
