Rotherham United Community Sports Trust currently run a sport 4 all project. This is a 3 year Sport England funded programme that aims to create sporting, training and volunteering opportunities for adults in Rotherham with mental health issues. The project was launched in September 2014 and to date has engaged with 181 different people from across Rotherham including participants from Rotherham Mind, Headway, dementia services, community mental health teams, Rush house, lighthouse and the Early intervention in Psychosis team.

In addition to this we have successfully recruited 13 Volunteers, 8 of which are still active in the local community, 4 participants have completed their Level 1 football coaching course and 5 participants have completed a level 1 in sports Leadership.

The current sessions the trust offer are walking football, boccia and kurling, walking groups and we have an 11 a side inclusion football team that trains weekly and competes in two leagues.

in addition to the sessions already listed above, we have some new exciting projects which are set to be announced in the future so please keep checking our website and social network channels for all the latest information!
