Rotherham United are delighted to be supporting the 2017 Level Playing Field (LPF) Weeks of Action at Tuesday evening’s Sky Bet Championship meeting with Brighton and Hove Albion.

This annual initiative, now in its 12th year, aims to celebrate access and inclusion for disabled sports fans across England and Wales and the Millers were thrilled to once again be on board with raising awareness of the campaign.

As part of the celebrations of the Weeks of Action, the Millers will welcome members of the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust’s Disability Group as the club’s guests of honour following their recent triumph in the FA People’s Cup.

Members of the Under 16’s team who progressed to the regional rounds of the competition following success at the Sheffield heat will be in attendance at the match with Brighton and Hove Albion, whilst the flag bearers on the night will also include members from the club’s Saturday morning disability group.

Head of Community Jamie Noble expressed his delight at supporting the campaign and is looking forward to seeing some faces familiar to the Community Sports Trust at the game against the Seagulls.

“After a really successful day at the weekend for International Women’s Day, we are thrilled to be able to show our support to the Level Playing Field campaign,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.

“It will be great to see members of our disabled team down at the game on Tuesday night and whilst I know many are supporters and regulars at the match anyway, it will be brilliant to see them as guests of the club.

“We take a lot of pride in making the football club accessible to everyone in the community, so celebrating the Level Playing Field campaign is something that we are delighted to get involved with.”
