Last night Magna Science Centre held host to the Rotherham PE Celebration Event organised by Ivy Dorchester-Brown.
RUCST were thrilled to be asked by Ivy if we would like to acknowledge anyone within Rotherham Schools for their participation or leadership within PE or Sport. As a trust we decided it would be a great idea to give out the RUCST awards for Outstanding Contribution to School Sport which would reward the staff we see in schools who really help to drive sport forward and ensure there is an opportunity for every pupil to participate in a sporting activity during school, after school or through organised tournaments.
Our Sport Development team got their heads together and came up with a rather large list of deserving candidates, after numerous discussions this long list was whittled down to a final five who we chose to acknowledge at the event.

The night was a huge success and it was a privilege to be asked to be a part of an event that celebrates an area of school work which is of such high interest to the Trust and we hope to be involved in next years event.
